Social Plan

Social Plan - Published: 16 Aug 2005
The Social/Community Plan, prepared after consultation with members of the public, service providers and the completion of a Questionnaire, has identified a number of opportunities which will further enhance the quality of life of the residents of the Weddin Shire.

Council has gained the information which has helped form the Social/Community Plan as a result of the involvement of:

* Residents of the Weddin Shire
* Local community organisations
* State and Federal government departments
* Demographic data and other planning information

After collation of all the information gathered key issues have been identified and target groups used to outline specific issues which Council will, in co-operation with others, endeavour to implement in the future.

The particular strategies and actions to be implemented are detailed in Section 7.
