State of Environment Report

Weddin Shire Council is required under the Local Government Act to prepare a Supplementary State of the Environment Report for the year ending 30^th June.

Such a Supplementary Report must:

identify any new environmental impacts since the Council's last State of the Environment Report, and
update the trends in environmental indicators that are important to each of the eight environmental sectors specified in section 428 [2] (c) of the Local Government Act

Council has participated in a Regional State of the Environment Report for 2008 organised through the Catchment Management Authority (CMA) with 17 councils being involved, and the all encompassing report has been completed. more ..
